Trustees Update 24/06/2020

Safe Haven – Cornwall, along with most others across the world, let alone the UK, have had our activities severely impacted by the on-going Coronavirus lockdown. This has all but closed down many of our activities, apart from our Support Groups which have been continued as virtual meetings via Zoom. We have also started a new virtual Drop In Chat Room which will continue to run during the lockdown period. Following the announcements yesterday re the further relaxation of the lockdown rules, please be assured that these rules will be studied closely by The Trustees and this will hopefully allow us to begin the process of re-starting some of our activities. However, safety of all will be paramount in our considerations, and we will continue to operate within the guidance provided. Be assured that we will continue to monitor future changes in the guidance as part of an on-going process. Other things have been happening though, the major news being that we have been recognised as a Registered Charity and are registered with the Charity Commission as Registered Charity 1188998 SAFE HAVEN – CORNWALL. There have been a considerable important and significant number of changes on our website, with almost all our pages having been updated and new pages added. So, especially if you are new to the site, or have not visited it for a while, the advice is to please have a good look around. We are working actively in the background to put tentative plans in place to re-start things as the lockdown constraints are modified, and preparing plans for next year, as well as working on securing additional funding.
