Safe Haven – Cornwall Welcomes The London Transgender Clinic – Saturday 4th April

Regrettably, as a result of the coronavirus restrictions, we are NOT now going ahead with either The Safe Haven Welcomes The London Transgender Clinic event on the afternoon of Saturday 4thApril nor the next Event Weekend, Friday 3rd – Sunday 5th April. We will be talking to The London Transgender Clinic as soon as possible to try to reschedule their visit and we will update further as soon as an agreement has been reached.

Last year we had a very successful, and well attended day when we hosted the first ever Roadshow by Gender GP. This year we have organised another day, again free of charge, this time with The London Transgender Clinic, on Saturday 4th April, at 14:00 (note the revised time – previously 14:30), the first ever to be held anywhere in conjunction with the Clinic.

The Clinic provides support and surgical procedures for gender re-assignment, breast, facial and other cosmetic surgery. The Clinic was featured in ITV’s 3-part documentary “Transformation Street” which followed gender variant clients through their surgical procedures conducted by Mr Christopher Inglefield, a renowned surgeon in this field. “Transformation Street” is still available to be viewed on YouTube etc.

The day will feature both Mr Christopher Inglefield BSc FRCS (Plast), LTC’s Specialist Transgender Surgeon, Mary Burke RN, Senior Nurse Prescriber, and Nicole Scavuzzo – Patient and Social Media Coordinator. The day will be an opportunity to find out more and ask any questions whatsoever in relation to the whole transition process. The objective is to try to clarify some of the myths, mis-understandings, uncertainty etc. re people’s rights in this area, along with providing further details on the types of surgery available.

Information on The London Transgender Clinic is available on their website at
This Event is incorporated into our regular Event Weekend for April. Why not join us for the whole weekend, or stay to join our Social Saturday Event in the evening when entertainment will be provided by Stevie D and one of our regular DJs, Nicole Stone.

As attendance at the event is being restricted to a maximum of 80 and no-one will be admitted if they have not pre-booked. Please note that it is a requirement that anyone under the age of 18 wishing to attend must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

If you wish to book, log questions to be discussed as part of the session or ask further questions about the day itself, accommodation etc. please contact Paula Swarbrick, either via FB messenger, or phone / text message on 07916 172003

Nicole Scavuzzo – Patient and Social Media Coordinator

Nicole Scavuzzo is an employee turned patient of The London Transgender Clinic. While she manages LTC’s social media platforms, she has also been medically transitioning with LTC.

Nicole believes in the incredible power of the internet as a way for marginalised and questioning LGBTQ+ members to learn about themselves and feel validated. As a trans person who has gone through surgery, she wants to show the incredible job LTC is doing in helping trans individuals alleviate their dysphoria through their surgical journey and beyond. Her goal within the clinic is to build a community online and celebrate every trans experience as powerful and inspirational, while also taking her own personal steps to true self.
